It is believed that between 10-15 percent of people with lupus will die prematurely due to complications of lupus.
However, due to improved diagnosis and disease management, most people with the disease will go on to live a normal life span.
Your support helps low-income Lupus patients receive treatment, therapy, education and support which can extend their lives.
What your Giving Tuesday gift Can Do
A Donation of $25
Transportation to and from appointments is difficult for low-income patients. Your gift of $25 will provide a Lupus patient with a ride to doctor’s appointments and therapy for a week.
A Donation of $100
Physical therapy can speed healing, promote long-term health benefits, and inspire hope. Your gift of $100 will provide a Lupus patient with 4 physical therapy sessions.
A Donation of $500
Insurance can only go so far some patients. A generous gift of $500 can provide a Lupus patient with a full doctor’s visit and treatment regimen.
