Dottie Needs Your Help
Please Donate to help cover her Medical Expenses
We have had an incredibly special case handed to us and we need your assistance now more than ever.
It is only because of the amazing support of our feline community, that Feral Cat Warriors can continue to take on extraordinary unusual cases like Dottie’s.
Somehow Dottie found herself on the side of a busy road in Kingman. She was in distress and dragging her back legs unable to walk. A good Samaritan quickly grabbed her and contacted us about her situation. Our team quickly jumped into action doing everything we could to help this little girl. After x-rays and an evaluation by a veterinarian it was determined that her back leg had been severely damaged.
The only options we were given for this little 5-month-old healthy kitten was either a major surgery to amputate her back right leg or let her cross the rainbow bridge.
Guess what, we decided her little life was too valuable and what to give her the best opportunity at a long and healthy life. She will be going in on Monday morning for surgery with one of our organizational partner veterinarians.
While there are always risks involved with any surgery and she will have a long road to recovery, we will keep you updated on her progress.
Jan 31, 2022 – Dottie left this morning for her surgery with our partner veterinarian. It is going to be a long day for her and us as we monitor the situation. We will update everyone after she is on her way back to her foster home.
UPDATE: Dottie did not have her surgery as planned. She is re-scheduled for Thursday (Feb 3rd), due to illness of the doctor performing the surgery. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She will receive pain medication and be kept comfortable at the vets until the surgery.
